About The Biggest Little Marathon and Desert Sky Adventures
The Biggest Little Marathon/10K/5K is just one of a whole bunch of races hosted by Desert Sky Adventures. This rad woman-owned race management company is based in Reno, the perfect high desert location for beautiful outdoor adventures. Operated by adventurers Molly Sheridan, Taylor Swanson, and Shannon Brett, Desert Sky Adventures promotes healthy living, perseverance and pushing beyond your expectations (sounds a lot like Rowdy founder Kellie Lee, no wonder we jive so well with this company!). Founder and owner Molly Sheridan beat the odds when she ran her first marathon at age 48, despite skepticism from her doctor. You can read about Molly’s personal adventures from novice jogger to ultra-marathon boss in her book, Running Past Midnight: An Ultramarathon Adventure.
The Biggest Little Marathon is a fun way to take in the beauty of the city by the river. The race will start under the historic Reno Arch and go through downtown toward the beautiful parks south of downtown. Whether this is your first half marathon or your 50th, the Biggest Little Half Marathon is an adventurous way to spend your Saturday. Proceeds of the race also benefit the Food Bank of Nevada, so even if you prefer the 10K or 5K distance, invite a friend and make an adventure out of it!
